Kadina Show 2011
Kadina Show Aug 20-21st. Lucky with god weather and certainly had plenty of people visit us and loads of interest.
York Peninsula Field Day
We were invited to once again be a part of the AW Varter site. It started out dry and dusty and then made all the farmers happy by raining. They all kept saying "mud is good"!!! Again, much interest was shown in our work.
Clare Show
The weather was against us when we set up having borrowed a marquee from the Kadina Show Society. We had a great deal of worry regarding the strong winds. Will have to look at making up something on our own, as we had big problems. However, our site was good and the show well organised and included a huge amount of interest for the very large crowd. Would reccomend it for any city people as a great country show and the Clare Caravan Park was excellent, but you need to book in advance.
Again we had huge interest in our work and suggested that woodies from that area investigate setting up a group and we would be only too happy to assist them in getting going. Will be interesting if anything comes from it. Met a chap who had taken up Pyrography after seeing me at the Home Show - so just proves that the efforts of the Woodgroup are creating interest out there.
