The slideshow shows ten images depicting life at Northern Turners
Several photos show members turning articles at club meetings, some with others watching, helping, or giving advice. We might well have included groups talking or a Show and Tell session.
One shows a woodturning demonstration at a Bunnings Store. Another shows a demonstration at a craft fair, and another shows Northern Turners' stand at the Building and Home Improvement Show at the Adelaide Showground. A photo of the annual Wood Revisited exhibition at Port Adelaide is typical of several exhibitions each year.
A photo from the 2012 Workshop weekend shows the internationally known West Australian turner, Neil Turner passing on skills and techniques.
Wood collecting is supported and members benefit from this collective effort.
The image of belaying pins and other items made by club members for the One and All sail training vessel shows some of the club's work for others. As well, several members assist the Toymendous club making toys for disavantaged children. And Northern Turners participates in the annual Big Morning Tea for cancer research, having so far raised over $3000 for this worthwhile cause.
Northern Turners recently received a Government grant in recognition of its encouragement of elderly and disabled turners.
