Crafts
Members quickly find that Woodcarving (and the associated field of Sculpture), is/are not just an interesting pastime or hobby. Like taking up golf, it can become an addictive passion. It is all about learning new skills and, by inter-action with others, improving those skills and techniques. Our Club aims to be pro-active in raising the standards of Sculpture and Carving and thus promoting their recognition as true art-forms.
Carving can be in many forms and be utilised in many applications.
Relief: grading from Intaglio, Low, Medium and High relief

Carvings can be individual works, be integrated on to wood-turned pieces; incorporated in furniture and often involve other disciplines, such as pyrography and scroll sawing.
