Vale Howard Giles
Howard was a true gentleman and an enthusiastic scroller when his health allowed him.  He experimented with different techniques and was noted for using smaller pieces of timber.  While he has not be able to attend workshops for some time he remained a keen supporter of the Club.

South Oz Scrollers Inc was formed 30th September 2000 as a Special Interest Group of Woodgroup SA.  In December 2007, as part of a restructure of the State body, it incorporated as an association.

Our club offers the opportunity for people of like interest to meet regularly in a friendly and supportive manner, providing them with the guidance and hands-on opportunities to develop their scroll sawing skills.  Scroll sawing also incorporates other traditional woodworking techniques e.g. jointing, finishing, machining, designing patterns, etc.

The primary crafts promoted in the Club are fretwork and intarsia although members get involved with others like toys, jewellery, puzzles, etc.
