Riverland Woodworkers

Riverland Woodworkers Inc was formed in October 2004.  We currently have more than 30 members, from 10 years old to over 80, both male and female.  The group is always looking from new members and visitors are always welcome.

Members interests are in woodturning, scrollsawing, toy and furniture making.  A the moment, members are kept busy with the construction of toys, bookcases, clocks, pens etc, some of which are sold for club funds, or given to charity groups for distribution.

We are kept busy fundraising to purchase machinery and other equipment needed by the group.  The workshop contains a Triton Sawbench, Durden Combination Saw/Planer, Radial Arm Saw, 2 Small Lathes, pedestal grinder, drill press, disc sander, bandsaw, dust extractors, thicknesser, scrollsaw, several small power tools, and many hand tools, all of which have been donated by community members, purchased from club funds, or successful council grant applications.

Meetings are held on Wednesday mornings, from 9:00am to 12:00 noon, Thursday evenings from 6:00pm to 9:00pm and Sunday afternoons 1:00pm to 4:00pm, at the old Renmark High School, Ral Ral Avenue, Renmark (Adjacent to the McCormick Centre).  For more information, contact the Coordinator, Brian Lock, whose details can be obtained by emailing the Webmaster.
